Sidney Crosby takes his Penguins to Charlotte to try to close out the Eastern Conference finals and set up what is looking like a rematch for the Stanley Cup with the Detroit Red Wings. Up 3-0, Pittsburgh is playing like a team possessed since coach Dan Bylsma came up from Scranton-Wilkes-Barre in January.
Meanwhile, LeBron James and the heavily favored Cleveland Cavs, down 2-1, are in Orlando where they’re are lucky to not being faced with a close out. Only James’ “miracle three” in game 2 at the buzzer, keeps the Cavaliers in this series. Tuesday’s 8:30 EST tip-off is a crucial game for both teams, setting up home court advantages for the eastern conference title.
Kansas City’s Zack Greinke takes his 7-1 record to the mound in KC against division leader Detroit and the 4-2 Edwin Jackson. Greinke is the talk of baseball with his 0.82 ERA, while Jackson is staging a season as one of the brilliant off-season acquisitions of the year. Greinke, a former first round phenom, pitched out of the bullpen last year after coming back from emotional issues. Jackson pitched well in the World Series after spending years as a phenom himself with the Dodgers.
